Car rental in Vancouver and Richmond. Carview was founded in June, 2023 by Peter and James Takaki because of the cityscape views that tower East Vancouver. With partners to help them finance vehicles, they went into business. Whether you’re driving at night headed towards downtown, or driving under the mountains in the background, Greater Vancouver as a region has beauty like none other. And what better way to explore than with a fitting car. Thus, the name came from our love of the view of Vancouver. The view of the city when driving at night is absolutely beautiful. Our mission is to provide a badass car rental experience for our renters. Also, we want to highlight the beauty of modern cities.
Ultimately, we want driving to feel like a new type of activity. We'll go to new lengths to carve out a new market. We imagine people used to rent horses back in the day. How fun it was and alive the experience. Imagine horseback riding the horse you just rented into distant lands. Now, how can this feeling be replicated into car rentals?

April, 2025:

Our new mission is to pioneer leisure driving by creating soul-fulfilling transportation experiences that are deeply immersive for our renters.


July 2026: Our new mission is to innovate on driving -- making it a better experience! Ie. to curate sublime transportation experiences, create soulful connections, dive into imagination, develop cultural richness, learn new facts, etc. This is a difficult work in progress, however we believe it's a mission worth pursuing. More on this later, in a blog post.
